We were honoured to welcome former European Tour star, and current Sky Sports Golf headline act, Richard Boxall, to the Club as our headline act for the annual Sportsman’s Invitational day.

Despite the best efforts of Storm Dennis to blow away the fun and games, we had 60+ brave souls put on their waterproofs and battle it out on the Links over a shortened 9 hole, better-ball (2 to count from 4) tournament.

The evening was attended by 84 guests who were treated to a Q&A with Richard Boxall – who shared some amusing stories from his eighteen years on the Tour, as well as the past 22 years when he has been behind the microphone and camera in various high profile media roles.

Thank you to all those of you who ignored the advice of the weathermen to come and support the event. It was, as it always is, a high octane day…which went on long in to the stormy night. Hope to see you again next year (rest assured Dennis will not be welcomed back).
