Sous Chef
Full-time | Permanent | Trevose, Cornwall
Trevose is recruiting an experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. This is a key leadership role within a fast-paced, high-standard kitchen, ideal for a passionate chef ready to support the Head Chef and help drive consistently excellent food and service.
Pay
£34,000–£38,000 per year, depending on experience + Tips
Role Overview
- Lead kitchen sections during preparation and service
- Support the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations
- Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation
- Contribute to menu development using seasonal ingredients
- Train, manage and support junior kitchen team members
- Manage stock levels, supplier orders and inventory control
- Maintain full food safety, hygiene and compliance standards
- Lead service and kitchen operations when required
About You
- Minimum five years’ experience in a professional kitchen
- At least two years’ experience as a Sous Chef
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Passion for quality, seasonal food
- Calm and effective in a high-pressure environment
- Excellent communication and team-management skills
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and compliance

Trevose is recruiting two Chef de Parties to join our kitchen team. A great opportunity for experienced chefs to work in a fast-paced, high-quality kitchen.

Role Overview
- Prepare and cook dishes to a high standard
- Run your section during prep and service
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety
- Support senior chefs and daily kitchen operations
- Assist with training junior team members
About You
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations
- Passion for quality and attention to detail
- Works well under pressure and in a team
- Flexible and reliable
