The Cornwall Junior Golf Union’s 2025 Mini Tour continued on Sunday, 3rd August, with a successful fourth round held at Trethorne Golf Club in Launceston. The event, sponsored by Jewson, saw young golfers from across the county competing in two divisions: 0–28 handicaps over 18 holes and 29–54 handicaps over 9 holes.
Division 0–28 Handicap (18 Holes) Jonny Cattran of West Cornwall Golf Club led the field with an impressive 34 Stableford points, securing 11th place in the standings. Rowan Nicholas, also from West Cornwall, followed closely with 37 points, earning 5th place. Other notable performances included Abel Bale (5th), Luke Harrison (7th), and Rory Judd (11th). Division 29–54 Handicap (9 Holes)
In the 29–54 handicap category, Eli Peters from Falmouth Golf Club topped the leaderboard with 22 points. Logan Reed of St Mellion Golf Club and Amelia Richards from Trevose Golf & Country Club tied for second place with 21 points each. Other participants included Lucas Lawrence (4th), Oliver Entwistle (5th), and Nellie Hosking (6th).
The Cornwall Golf Union expressed gratitude to the team at Trethorne Golf Club for their efforts in making the event a success, highlighting the positive impact of such competitions on junior golf development in the region. The next event in the 2025 Junior Tour is scheduled for 28th September at Mullion Golf Club, followed by the final round on 19th October at West Cornwall Golf Club.
