Geoff French is the owner of Molesworth Manor, a leading Guest House near Padstow. Previously, he was a manager in the computer industry with blue chip companies like IBM, Hewlett Packard and Compaq. He was a member of Fulwell Golf Club in Middlesex and Wentworth in Surrey before joining Trevose, where he has been a long-term member of the committee.During recent years he has been the prime organiser of a mini-Ryder Cup match played at Trevose against a team from Florida in the USA. When the teams play at Trevose, they play for the Loo Cup.

Geoff has chosen as his Vice-Captain Roger Vivian. Born locally; Roger lives just a nine iron shot away from the Trevose first tee in Constantine Bay, where he has lived for 27 years. His principal profession was a Chef: he ran a well-known restaurant in Padstow for twenty years, but these days he helps his wife Sally to run a thriving business in Padstow. He became a member at Trevose in 1990 and has been involved in many events at the Club since then.

After a highly successful year as Trevose Captain; with the club staging events like The Trilby Tour Cornwall Championship, The Cornwall May Festival, The Pairs Championship and Captain’s Day (during which members raised over £1200 for the CHICKS charity), and many other events of equal standing; Ian Jeffery has handed over the Captaincy to Geoff French for the forthcoming year.
