Niall had been lying in second place going into the final event of the year earlier this month, and then shot an excellent 71 at the St Enodoc Junior Open to win the event and claw his way past season long leader Alex McHugh (Mullion) to win the Order of Merit by just 3 points. Juniors President Phil Linaker praised Niall’s performance and referred to the fact Niall had been part of the junior section in Cornwall for the past 6 years. He wished Niall well as he now moves out of the Junior Section into the full men’s category, and presented him with the OoM Shield and a CGU personalised golf bag.

On behalf of everyone at Trevose we would like to congratulate Niall for another amazing year and for recording a sensational hatrick of titles. We wish him all the best as he moves up in to the full men’s category and look forward to many more years of success.

Now that the CGU Junior season is concluded the various Order of Merits have been finalised and prizes were presented as part of the presentation following the Junior Maxam Cup. The main Junior Order of Merit was won for the third year running by one of Trevose’s most exciting young talents, Niall Hutton (see pic opposite).
