This winter’s work on the Championship Course will be focused on the 12^th hole with a change to the surround of the green complex. Essentially the green will not change other than lifting and relaying around the outside edge to allow us to tie-in the change to the surround. We feel the 12^th green surround is out of character with the rest of the course after recent re-development and this change will create a stronger finish to the Championship Course stroke index 1 hole.

The closely mown area around the green will increase in size with humps and hollows created to achieve a similar look to the work carried out on the 2^nd, 8^th and 14^th. The current bunker will be split into two smaller bunkers with the second one being pushed up closer to the green.

On the right hand side of the green the toilet block will be removed to allow more space to create a steep run off. We are currently renovating the toilet in the corner of the yard on the 14^th hole to replace this.

The exit from the 12^th hole to the 13^th tees will also be improved with an irrigated grass path network and sand scrapes created to break up the flat landscape also offering more interest off the 13^th tee.

The work will commence week beginning Monday 30^th October and all being well will be completed in four weeks.
