The juniors sparkled brightly at Trevose as fourteen-year-old Roxy Gillingham and Matt Pepper, a member of the Derbyshire Boy’s county squad, who is also 14, won the individual Girl’s and Boy’s Championships; Roxy with 41 Stableford points and Matt with 37 points.
In second place in the Girl’s Championships was 12 year-old Alex Reynard on 30 points, with 12-year-old Polly Gammon third on 28 points and Jessica Haigh, 13, fourth on 22 points. In the Boy’s Championship, 16-year-old Joseph Cobb tied Matt Pepper on 37 points, but after a count-back Matt was declared the winner with Joseph second. Charlie Goss, 14, and Dan Smith, 15, tied on 35 points and after another count-back Charlie was declared third and Dan fourth.
In the 9-hole Championship on the Headland Course; 15-year-old Isobel Littleford won the Girl’s event with 23 Stableford points and 9-years-old Wilf Gammon won the Boy’s Championship with 19 points. In second place in the Girl’s was Thea Haigh, 11, Sasha Anderson and Jemima Harrison, both 13, all on 13 points. In the Boy’s Championship; Oli Anderson, 11, took second place on 16 points, followed by Chris Dines, 15, on 14 points in third.
