With many members staying at the club, or in the surrounding area, they had a great time over Christmas and the New Year competitions, and there were many winners amongst them. A Gibson and Miss M Budden won Round the Houses on Boxing Day beating Nick and Wilf Gammon by just half-a-point. On 28 December, the Elliott family tied with the Davidson quartette, the Davidson’s taking first place on count-back; but the Elliott’s had their revenge on Friday 30 December, when they won by two clear Stableford points. In the Hangover Salvers on New Year’s Day, J and Miss R Naylor won by four points from N and O Hyslop with 38 points.

Competitions gradually get back to normal after the Christmas and New Year break with the resumption of round 16 of the Harlyn and Victoria Cup’s.
